Experience
My goal as a tutor is to foster a confidence and love for learning in each of my students, which I feel is vital if you want to succeed in today's world. I am a Southern Connecticut State University graduate, having earned my bachelor's degree, with honors, in Mathematics. I also had the opportunity to complete my thesis for my undergraduate in Graph Theory, ultimately receiving honors in the Math Department for that endeavor. In addition, I tutored throughout my undergraduate degree through the tutoring program at Southern, which was called GearUp. There, I tutored 8th and 7th graders in a local public school district. I am currently preparing to become certified as an actuary by taking my actuarial exams, with hopes of becoming a member of the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Some of the subjects I tutor include: Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Algebra 2, and Pre-Algebra. I also help with SAT and ACT preparation. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I enjoy running, camping, fishing, and cooking.
